Dear Students, Parents, and Community Members,
It is my pleasure and privilege to welcome you to Verona High School. As the head teacher, I am committed to fostering an environment where every student feels valued, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential.

Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to provide not only a high standard of academic instruction but also to cultivate the personal and social development of each student. We are proud of our diverse community, where we celebrate individuality and encourage every learner to explore their unique talents and interests.
As we look forward to another exciting year, I invite you to join us in making Verona High School a place where curiosity is sparked, dreams are nurtured, and lifelong learning begins. Together, we will continue to build a vibrant, supportive, and successful school community.

Comencing of UNEB (UCE) Examinations - 14th Oct 2024
Ignatius Kabanda - Headteacher
For our candidates, this period is both challenging and rewarding. Examinations are more than just tests of knowledge; they are opportunities to demonstrate the skills and understanding developed throughout their educational journey. The results of these exams will open doors to new possibilities, whether it be higher education, vocational training, or entry into the workforce. UNEB exams set the foundation for the next steps in their lives, and for many, they represent the beginning of new dreams and ambitions.
As the exams are in progress, it’s important to remember the importance of support during this time. For students, exams can bring anxiety and stress. They require focus, discipline, and resilience. Parents, guardians, and teachers play a critical role in encouraging and motivating these young people. Providing them with a calm environment, positive reinforcement, and the necessary resources to succeed can make a world of difference.
Prefectorial body 2023/2024 handover - 28th Sept 2024
This past year, the outgoing Prefectorial Body has worked diligently to promote a positive school culture, organizing numerous events and initiatives that have enriched the student experience. From leading community service projects to facilitating student engagement activities, their commitment and leadership have made a lasting impact on Verona High School.
Today marks an important transition as we officially hand over the responsibilities to the new Prefectorial Body. These new leaders were selected based on their exemplary character, dedication, and potential to inspire their peers. As they step into their roles, we have every confidence that they will continue to uphold the values of our school and drive positive change.

In many ways, this day helps to strengthen the school community. Parents and teachers can exchange ideas, concerns, and aspirations for the students, ensuring that the needs of each child are understood and met. It’s a moment to celebrate the collaborative spirit that defines effective education—where families and schools work hand in hand to foster a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Visitation Day also provides an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the diverse talents within our school. Whether it's seeing students' artwork displayed in the hallways, hearing them perform in a music class, or watching them interact during a lesson, this day shines a light on the individual strengths and creativity of each child. It underscores the importance of nurturing not only academic achievement but also the personal growth and well-being of every student.
Together we can make the world a better place
VERONA DAY Celebrations - 21st July 2024
Today, we gather to celebrate the vibrant and timeless arts of music, dance, and drama—forms of expression that speak to the very core of human emotion, culture, and connection. These three disciplines, while distinct, are united by their power to tell stories, convey feelings, and bring people together in shared experiences of joy, sorrow, love, and triumph.
Together, music, dance, and drama form the heartbeat of our cultural celebrations. They enrich our lives, nourish our spirits, and inspire us to dream. As we celebrate these forms of art today, let us remember their power not only to entertain but to educate, heal, and unite us.
May we continue to cherish these beautiful traditions and keep the spirit of creativity and collaboration alive.
