Today, we gather to celebrate the vibrant and timeless arts of music, dance, and drama—forms of expression that speak to the very core of human emotion, culture, and connection. These three disciplines, while distinct, are united by their power to tell stories, convey feelings, and bring people together in shared experiences of joy, sorrow, love, and triumph.
Together, music, dance, and drama form the heartbeat of our cultural celebrations. They enrich our lives, nourish our spirits, and inspire us to dream. As we celebrate these forms of art today, let us remember their power not only to entertain but to educate, heal, and unite us.

The Academics Objective
Assessment Department
Examinations & Tests:
The department is responsible for setting, organizing, and administering internal examinations, weekly tests, and end-of-term assessments to track learner performance.
Evaluation of Learning Outcomes:
It works closely with subject teachers to analyze results, identify strengths and weaknesses, and provide feedback for targeted academic improvement.
Record Keeping:
Student performance data is carefully recorded and maintained to ensure accurate reporting for parents, teachers, and administrators.
Standardization:
The department ensures that assessment tools are fair, reliable, and aligned with the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) standards.
Support & Guidance:
It provides academic guidance to struggling learners by recommending remedial classes, revision programs, and mentoring support.
Attendance Department
Daily Roll Call:
Teachers and class coordinators record student attendance at the start of each school day and during lessons.
Monitoring & Reporting:
The department tracks patterns of absenteeism or lateness and generates reports for the administration and parents.
Follow-Up on Absentees:
Absences are followed up promptly through communication with parents or guardians to understand and address the reasons.
Enforcement of School Policy:
The department enforces school rules on punctuality and presence, reinforcing discipline among learners.
Support & Counseling:
For students with frequent absenteeism, the department works with teachers and the school counselor to provide support, ensuring challenges are addressed.

“Singing with Pride, Performing with Passion”
At Verona High School, our choir brings together talented voices to create harmony, joy, and inspiration. Performing at school functions, inter-school competitions, and community events, the choir continues to showcase musical excellence and creativity.
Beyond singing, the choir helps students build confidence, teamwork, and discipline, while also celebrating cultural diversity through music. Each performance uplifts audiences, strengthens school spirit, and reflects the vibrant life of Verona High School.
